In fact we love the Sea to Summit dry bags for strapping on to the back of your rack. Because bikepacking has evolved into touring terrain where the practicality of a rear carrier rack shines. If you have ever woken up on morning 5 of a bikepacking trip & just dreaded having to re-pack your gear into your seat-bag you know what we mean. Sometimes panniers & rack-top bags are a huge relief.
Sea to Summit make this awesome dry bag that’s massive enough to work perfectly on top of a pannier rack. And you can carry it on your back on hikes if you’re the type to get off the bike at your destination.
