Busch & Muller mirrors & dynamo lights are everywhere, on all kinds bikes for good reason – they’re reliable & well designed. We love that.
This German brand have been experts in bike accessories for a real long time. And you will have seen them on plenty of bikes in Europe if you visit.
We stock their dynamo lights & mirrors because these are the staple of bikes in those parts. Having dynamo lights that you don’t need to charge and can instead leave on your bike is the norm in some places. And as such B+M make a wide range of these front & rear lights.
Measuring and testing their gear in the European standard of Lux rather than lumen can be confusing! You can think of the measurement of lux as being about the light in the space, where lumens are the measurement of the light output. So lux will tell you how bright an area will be, not how bright the light source has the capability of being.
So you might see some demonstrated tests of lux in the product images for dynamo lights from European brands. You can be assured though that dynamo lights give a nice wide throw of light, rather than a pin point. This gives you the most visual landscape in the dark, and makes you easier to see from more angles (think motorists).
Their mirrors also come in stacks of varieties of mount and stem length to account for different set ups. Your handlebars and your desired visual range determine the type of mirror you need. So you will find very long stem options for mounting on top of drop bars or flat bars. As well as some plug-in versions for flat bar ends and everything in between.
