Make your bike your second car, with our range of bags, racks & carrying systems for your bike.
Do I need a rack for my bike?Â
A rear rack on your bike is an excellent way to carry cargo on your bike, paired with pannier bags or a basket on top of the rack – or both – you can really turn your bike into a workhorse. A carrier rack on your bike is a neat solution, whether you use it all the time or have it there just in case, paired with a hybrid backpack-pannier bag like Ortlieb’s Vario PS allowing you to throw your pannier on your back when you leave your bike.
Figuring out which rack will fit on your bike, and which one you need can be a difficult task when the range of Tubus racks is quite broad. To reduce confusion bringing your bike in store for our experienced staff and mechanics to confirm which rack will fit your bike is a great idea. However if you aren’t local to our Richmond bike shop then we provide some information on the differences between rear racks, lowrider / front racks, and how they would work on your bike on the bottom of our Tubus product pages.
Whether you need a rear carrier rack for transporting a single pannier with your laptop inside for the commute, or are planning a long tour across the country side and need to find a fork mounting lowrider to carry front panniers, Tubus will have a solution for you, in durable and reliable steel for peace of mind on the ride.
What about bikepacking bags?
If instead you have plans for bikepacking adventures, gravel rides on the rail trails or need to keep a few things to hand on your bike on the way to work, a frame bag will work for you. Choosing a frame bag can be tricky, given the many different geometries of bikes on the road, and all the different sizes those bikes come in. But companies like Apidura and Revelate have been in the business of making frame bags for many years and ensure they have a frame bag for every bike. Whether you ride a road bike, a gravel bike, a mountain bike or a touring bike, you will find a bag that fits.
And if it is too hard to measure your bike or imagine how it will fit by looking at the images online, come in to our Richmond bike shop & let us size up your bike for you, we have all of the different sizes and models of our bikepacking bags in our store under Richmond station so swing by and have a look in person.
