Description
This Rohloff Oil Change Kit is for the famous Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14.
Rohloff recommend that an oil change be carried out every 12 months or at least every 5000km. Ensuring there is always 12.5ml of oil in the hub & that it is free from contaminants.
Through this process it can be safe to say that there will always be enough oil in the hub regardless of oil loss (due to sweat oil) and that any penetrated water will be rinsed out.
For a problem-free oil change we recommend the use of the Rohloff Oil change kit.
ROHLOFF OIL CHANGE KIT SPECS
- 25ml of Cleaning Oil (in a 50ml bottle*)
- 12.5ml of Speedhub Oil
- Oil filling tube
- Non-returnable Syringe (50ml capacity)
Advice from Rohloff:
* There will already be approx. 12.5ml fluid in the hub (old oil and any penetrated moisture). After the cleaning oil is filled into the hub, there will be approx. 37.5ml fluid to extract (in therory). For this reason the cleaning oil comes in a 50ml bottle so that the old fluid can be drained out into this bottle for safe disposal.
