Description
The Ortlieb Thru Axle M6 Connector is a replacement 12mm thru axle which will allow you to run a Quick Rack on your bike’s axle.
So if you have a 12mm thru axle on your bike, and it is 180mm length or less, you can mount your rack to it.
This replacement axle has M6 size threads within the ends of the axle which allow you to bolt your Quick Rack on just like the ‘Direct Mount’ method.
You will need the same thread pitch as your existing axle. To find out what your bike’s axle thread pitch is you will need to remove it from your bike. Most axle’s will have this information printed on the axle itself. You are looking for “TPI”. If your axle does not have it printed on the side and it’s a modern bike, try looking online for the specs of your model of bike.

Installation advice
All Quick Rack models require 20mm tyre clearance.
Therefore, for Thru Axle mounting you will need 400mm distance between your axle & the top of your tyre.
