The Ortlieb Anti-Theft Device gives you a way to secure your panniers to your bike rack. This added layer of security can make all the difference to your enjoyment of your tour!
The device comes in a Short & Long version to suit front panniers & rear pannier respectively.
The system consists of a steel cable that is fitted into the pannier rail system & is locked separately. Please note a lock isn’t provided with the device, allowing you to choose your own.
Fitting the cable to your pannier can be done at any time, and to any pannier using the QL2 or QL2.1 system. When you aren’t using the cable it remains just a wire loop poking from your pannier rail. Then when you want to use it you simply pull it from the rail by this loop & lock it. You will find most combination locks & U-Locks will fit through the wire loop.
This system is commonly used to secure a helmet too.
The Anti-Theft-Device comes as a pair with two plastic clips and mounting instructions.
