Tubus Tara Titan

Description

The Tubus Tara Titan is an extremely lightweight carrying solution for the front end of your bike.  A minimalist design this titanium lowrider / front rack weighs in at just 300g and can carry up to 18kgs.

Compatible with most pannier systems (such as ORTLIEB) the Tara Titan easily carries 2x front panniers or gravel packs, providing steering stability & a great solution for those on smaller bikes with limited rear rack carrying capacity.

Carrying panniers on the front end of your bike will also create a smoother handling experience. And it’s a good idea to balance the load on a touring bike by carrying your gear on both ends of your bike. There is also some discussion about whether it is easier to ‘pull’ weight (rear panniers) vs ‘pushing’ weight with front panniers. Either way, it’s a very functional solution for carrying gear on your bike. Whether you intend to bikepack or tour.

Tubus Tara Compatiblity & Specs

The Tara mounts on the eyelets of the front fork (such as is found on Surly, Curve, Bombtrack, Tumbleweed bikes) so does not have a brake specific mounting.

If your front fork does not have eyelets for mounting a lowrider, and is a rigid steel, titanium or aluminium fork, Tubus make adapter clamps allowing you to do so. Find these adapter sets here.
