Description

The Ortlieb Gravel-Pack is a pair of small, off-road optimised front panniers for your bikepacking adventures. These Ortlieb panniers are a little smaller than your standard rear panniers, and this is to account for toe-overlap.

Rounding out Ortlieb’s bikepacking bag range, these bags are excellent for those extra-long trips. Or an excellent solution for small bike’s and small riders who can’t run a 17L saddle-pack like some people can!

You won’t need to sacrifice what you choose to pack on your trip with these bikepacking panniers. In fact Ortlieb were one of only a handful of companies considering the touring/bikepacking combo of a front pannier for a gravel adventure. And we love them for providing this option. 

These panniers are fully waterproof, as with anything Ortlieb. So you will be able to confidently commit to those river crossings. And they give you a combined capacity of 29L to carry your cooking gear, your food or just about anything else. 

The benefits of running front panniers are many, but most importantly they are a stabilising weight at a low center of gravity. This will generally result in steady handling of the front end of your bike, which can be handy on long rides. 

Like so many of Ortlieb’s panniers, the Ortlieb Gravel-Pack has a roll-top closure & a strap that buckles to secure it. Rolling the panniers closed ensures they remain waterproof throughout your ride.

Mounting System options

These panniers come in 2 mounting system options. The QL2.1 which is Ortlieb’s most popular, and the QL2.2 which is an update on the QL2.1.

Both are just as secure & just as fast, easy & convenient to use, and work with just about any rack in the world.

The QL2.2 update has taken away the need for installing spacers in the hooks, so it’s now easier to adjust the upper hooks to your pannier rail when you set up the bags.

The QL2.2 system will replace all QL2.1 systems eventually, but spare parts for the QL2.1 will continue to be available for decades – that’s what we love about Ortlieb!
