Description
The Tubus Cargo Evo is a disc brake specific single rail rear rack designed for carrying panniers on the sides & cargo on the top. Such as rack-top bags or baskets. The Cargo is based on the original Tubus rack design first made in 1988. With a wide platform for strapping your gear on top, lower pannier rails for increased stability and handling when your bike is loaded up. And with the widest tyre clearance of any Tubus rack, the Cargo Evo is a touring powerhouse.
The Cargo Evo is compatible with almost all pannier bag mounting systems (including ORTLIEB’S).
When choosing a carrier rack for your bike it’s important to think of how you will use it. As a permanent attachment to your bike, it’s a good idea to plan ahead to future journeys. A dual-rail design of rack is the most utilitarian option & we recommend it for anyone considering touring. A single rail rack is more suited to a commuter bike where your maximum load will be panniers. The dual rail design makes it easier to load up the top platform of the rack without interfering with the pannier hooks.
