Why replace your rear axle?
As the rear wheel on your bike has the majority of your drivetrain components on it, it’s under considerable strain. This is especially true if you riding a touring bike & have a fully loaded bike. You may find the thru axle that came stock on your bike is difficult to tighten properly, or comes loose often. This can result in your wheel feeling wobbly or unstable. This is often caused by cheaper or lower quality axle material wearing down over time. The threads are generally not as tight in tolerance and can begin wearing. This wearing can result in an axle that is impossible to tighten up to the correct torque. It can also result in damage to your bike frame if the wearing continues.
Replacing your bikes thru axle with a Lightning Bolt-On rear axle will take away the handle on your axle, and improve your riding experience!
