Looking for a front disc brake hub with a nutted axle? We’ve got a Sturmey Archer hub with your name on it my friend.
Finding the right hub doesn’t have to be difficult, but you will need to have some information first.
Namely you will need to know the type of brake you have. For rim brake or V Brake you will often need to determine the O.L.D. The O.L.D. is shorthand for Overlock dimension or Over lock nut dimension, if you were wondering! And it refers to the distance between the fork for a front wheel or the rear stays for a rear wheel.
Figuring these specifications out is challenging sometimes, but it is made worlds easier by the internet! Looking up the details of your bike’s particular model will help us determine what you need. Or if you have a set of Vernier’s at home, get to measuring!
Next of course is the fun stuff, choosing which one of our nutted axle hubs you want!
We build wheels in our workshop every day, so we are confident we will be able to find a hub for you.
