Tubus Grand Expedition

Description

The Tubus Grand Expedition is the first ever combination of a lowrider & highrider front carrier system. Combining the convenience of carrying panniers on the front, the Grand Expedition allows you to also carry racktop luggage.

Carrying panniers on the front end of your bike will also create a smoother handling experience. And it’s a good idea to balance the load on a touring bike by carrying your gear on both ends of your bike. There is also some discussion about whether it is easier to ‘pull’ weight (rear panniers) vs ‘pushing’ weight with front panniers. Either way, it’s a very functional solution for carrying gear on your bike. Whether you intend to bikepack or tour.

Compatible with almost every pannier system (including ORTLIEB) the Grand Expedition easily carries 2x front panniers or gravel packs in addition to rack-top bags or dry bags such as the SALTY ROLL for your camping gear on top the rack.

Tubus Grand Expedition Compatibility & Specs

The Grand Expedition Front mounts on the eyelets of the front fork (such as is found on Surly, Curve, Bombtrack, Tumbleweed bikes) so does not have a brake specific mounting.

If your front fork does not have eyelets for mounting a lowrider, and is a rigid steel, titanium or aluminium fork, Tubus make adapter clamps allowing you to do so. Find these adapter sets here.
