The SP PV-8 Dynamo Hub is a 6V 3W output front hub from Shutter Precision that is suitable for rim brake & Quick Release axles.
A nice feature of the ‘8’ series dynamo’s from Shutter Precision is that they will run at 72% efficiency at 15km/hr. Meaning you don’t have to be steaming along to have your lights on. Which is great if you will be using the hub primarily for commuting in an urban environment.
The PV-8 is a great solution for rim brake bike’s with wheel sizes from 26″ up to 700c or 29er.

Compatibility notes
This hub from Shutter Precision is designed for wheel sizes from 26″ up to 700c/29″. And it’s designed for a rim brake bike using a Q/R skewer with 100mm OLD. Ensuring the hub you choose works with your current wheel size, brake type & axle type is critical. If you are in any doubt about what you need you can give us a call & we can work through it together.
