The Ortlieb Messenger-Bag is a massive 39 L capacity, fully waterproof backpack designed for bike couriers. This is the ultimate bike messenger bag, made from indestructible material with replaceable hardware.

A tough and durable companion for the urban jungle: the Messenger Bag is popular with bicycle couriers and frequent cyclists all over the world. It inspires with its slim, functional design, the waterproof polyester material that defies any weather and the practical roll closure that offers flexibility in the height of package it can transport.

The foam backing with rear ventilation as well as waist and chest belts ensure the bag sits comfortably and close to the body, which is especially important for sprints and abrupt braking manoeuvres in the city. Increased safety in road traffic, particularly in bad weather conditions or in the dark, comes from the contoured straps with reflective strips and the side reflectors.

For better organization inside, you can upgrade your Messenger Bag (as from 2023 model) with the optionally available Messenger Bag Laptop Compartment. This smart organizer cushions and protects your laptop when road surfaces get somewhat rougher. You can check quite easily whether your Messenger Bag is suitable for an upgrade by looking for press studs or a Velcro fitting on the inside back plate. If it has a Velcro fastening, you can upgrade with the Laptop Compartment. If it has press studs, you can fit the Inserts F32G and F32D as an alternative.
