Do Ortlieb panniers fit all racks?
Almost! Ortlieb panniers attach by a hook system called a Quick Lock or QL system. The system comes in 2.1 & 3.1. The QL 2.1 system works for most bike racks out there, from 8mm tube diameters to 12mm diameter. So racks like the ones from Tubus or Topeak or other major brands work just fine.
The QL2.1 system is essentially 2 hooks which release when you lift the handle of the pannier, and lock when you let it go. When you buy a pannier it comes with all the mounting gear you need to attach it to your bike rack. And in the case of the QL2.1 mounting system, the pannier will come with spacers for you to clip in to suit your racks tube diameter. If you have a Tubus rack this would be the 10mm spacer.
